The people oriented ambition of Chief Uba James Esile, to represent Onuimo state constituency, at the Imo state house of Assembly, in 2023, under the platform of APC received yet another boost, as hundreds of Onuimo women, on Friday, 23rd September 2022 reaffirmed commitment and unflinching support towards his ambition.
These hundreds of women, drawn from the ten electoral wards and ninety seven polling units of the LGA, made this loud statement, at the Umuogbuanu Umucheke Okwe country home of the APC flag bearer. As Chief James Esile hosted them to both food items and cash empowerment/ support.
Leading various women groups, pressure groups, market unions and political party affiliate women organizations in the LGA, the Onuimo APC women leader, Hon Mrs Nnenna Ofoegbu thanked the members and leadership of the party in the state and in the LGA, for the choice of Hon Chief James Esile as the party’s flag bearer. Describing him as the most sellable candidate in the race, across all parties in Onuimo. She took time to note how Chief Uba Esile has been a source of succour and support to the women of LGA, overtime.
Recounting his annual educational support scheme to their school children, cash support to the needy, trader money empowerment for indigent business women, food palliatives to them etc. She vowed that the women of Onuimo shall leave no stone unturned, until Chief Esile emerges as the next house member. Because from all indices, he has proven to be the one with the genuine interest of the masses at heart.
Speaking, Hon Chief Uba James Esile said that, he has no other motive behind his ambition to be in the state house of assembly, aside improving the welfare of the masses and changing the political narratives in Onuimo, for good. He reiterated that, there shall be a positive turn around in the welfare, economic and political situations in Onuimo, when he assumes office, next year.
All the women present took time to shower encomiums on Chief Esile for his continued love and support, including the cash and food items they received from him, at the meeting. They passed a vote of confidence on Senator Hope Uzodimma’s government and collectively prayed vehemently towards the success of Chief. Uba James Esile’s house of Assembly ambition.
Also present at the mega event were; The sole administrator of Onuimo LGA, Hon Chief Charles Ijezie ( Okemmiri) and his wife Lolo Ijezie, the coordinator of Onuimo South development center Lolo (Mrs) Nkiru Ijeoma and all her development center Committee members, the state Assistant woman leader of APC Hon Mrs Emeghebo Confidence, all the Onuimo APC ward chairmen, all APC ward women leaders and a host of other notable personalities from Onuimo.
