If you are a core APGA faithful in Anambra State, kindly hear me out;

1. APGA IS OUR IDENTITY: Umunnem, APGA as a political party was established as a platform to give our people the opportunity to contest elections and become relevant in the political space of Nigeria. We are all expected to guard it’s survival with every resources available to us. And because it’s foundation was built in Anambra State, we need to be highly diplomatic in our resolve to always get things rightly done in our dearly beloved State.

As the Auditor General of APGA in Anambra State, I most humbly appeal, that we see it as our identity which we most not loose.

2. THE ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION OF THIS YEAR: There is utmost need for us as party faithfuls to bear in mind that APGA needs to retain the seat of power in Anambra State, considering the forthcoming Governorship Election scheduled by INEC to hold on November 6, this year 2021. As a people that have enjoyed an uninterrupted sixteen years of governance in the State, we need to remain focus in the struggle to ensure that we retain the seat of power.

It is very obvious that the opposition parties in the State are working assidously to unseat us in the governance of the state, but I strongly believe that the God of APGA is by our side. Therefore, they will never succeed!

3. NEED FOR CONSOLIDATION AND CONTINUITY OF THE PRESENT ADMINISTRATION: Let me appreciate our National Leader of the party, who also is the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Sir Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano (Akpokuedike Global) for all he has done, and is still doing in our dear State. It is pertinent to state that His Excellency has amongst other things, radically engaged a greater percentage of youths in the governance of his administration. His “Community Choose-Your-Project” funding programme, the Anambra International Cargo & Passenger Airport, the International Conference Center, the Awka Township Stadium, as well as other recent infrastructures, are worthy of commendation. Therefore, there is an absolute need to continue these legacy projects, as well as consolidating on his developmental strides.

4. THE PUBLISHED INEC NAMES AND PARTICULARS OF APGA CANDIDATES. Umunnem, be it known that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has published the names of Governorship and Deputy Governorship Candidates of political parties for the November 6, 2021 Governorship Election for Anambra State. It is Crystal clear to us in that recent publication that the Name of the APGA Governorship Candidate is Hon. Chukwuma Micheal Umeoji from Ezinifite community, in Aguata LGA, while the Deputy Governorship Candidate is Professor Lilian Orogbu from Awka, in Awka South LGA.

We are also informed that INEC made it clear that the above names where published based on high court order/judgement, and only an higher court of competent jurisdiction, can make the Commission consider otherwise in her decision in that regard.

Umunem, the Joy is that APGA has a Governorship Candidate for the coming November 6 Governorship election, unlike one of the opposition parties, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that doesn’t have a Candidate published by INEC as at today, 21th July, 2021.

5. THE NEED TO GET DOWN TO WORK: Considering the publication of Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji’s name by INEC, we, as APGA faithfuls, are bound by the publication, to get down to work. All hands should be on deck!

What is Paramount at this point in time is to ensure that our dearest party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA wins the coming election scheduled for November 6, this year. We need to rally round His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano, as the National Leader/Chairman APGA Board of Trustees, and Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji, the Candidate of APGA, so as to go round the communities of Anambra State to spread the good news of what APGA government have done in the State that requires it’s continuity. There is more to do than the internal crisis that is presently going on! The leadership crisis is about the individuals who are mostly not from Anambra State, and my think is that it will not end today, but only by the grace of God Almighty, it will end soonest.

Umunnem, this coming Governorship project should be, APGA First!

6. ACTION PLAN/WAY FORWARD FOR OUR DEAR PARTY, APGA: Let me categorically state that, we need to move forward, notwithstanding our internal challenges.

I will therefore suggest the following for our Leaders in the State, and grassroots faithfuls for appropriate considerations:

I. His Excellency Governor Willie Obiano and party stakeholders/faithfuls should as a matter of fact, and the collective best interest of the party, accept the APGA Governorship Candidature of Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji and Prof. Lilian Orogbu as published by INEC which is still there as at today, the 21th day of July, 2021.

II. That His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano should as a matter of urgency, summon a reconcilation meeting of key party stalwarts/stakeholders and Principal Government Appointees, that will also include both National and State House of Assembly Members, as well as Members of the APGA Board of Trustees from Anambra State.

III. That a harmonised Statewide Campaign Council be set up by the party in the State, in collaboration with the party’s Governorship Candidates, with immediate effect, so as to ensure that the party kick starts her campaign within the middle of the month of August, inorder to meet up with taking our campaign messages to the grassroots across the state.

7. PRAYER IS THE KEY: Let me at this point, appeal to all Religious faithfuls within the party to constantly pray for Peace and Progressive in our dear party, APGA. Prayer moves mountains, and makes every impossibilities to become possible. While we pray to the Almighty God, may we also not relent in thanking Him for giving our dear party the privilege to govern Anambra State for past sixteen years and still counting.

May the Almighty God bless the works of our hands by granting our beloved party, APGA, resounding victory in the coming Election.
