Unidentified gunmen, in the early hours of Monday 19th of April 2021 attacked the Zonal Police Headquarters, Zone13, Ukpo, Anambra State and the Uzuakoli Divisional police station in Bende LGA of Abia state.

They razed some offices and scores of vehicles during the attack.

Eyewitness report has it that there was heavy gunshots before the offices and vehicles were set ablaze.

However, sources revealed, that the hoodlums were rebuffed by some men of the police force from getting into armoury department of the Anambra zonal divisional office. Also noting that the number of casualties in the Anambra attack cannot be ascertained at the moment.

Meanwhile, in Uzuakoli of Abia state, the gunmen reportedly freed all the suspects in the police cell before razing. Fortunately, no life was lost.

Reasons for the attacks are yet to be known.
