There is a new leadership of Imo State House of Assembly as the former speaker, Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh resigned from the position.
According to information close to the Assembly, the members said Ibeh resigned and to avoid vacuum in leadership of the house, the members has elected Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka from Ehime Mbano state constituency as the New Speaker of the house.
Recall that under Governor Hope Uzodinma the Imo State House of Assembly has had four speakers as  impeachment of Speakers remains the order of the day.
Today, the Speaker, Kennedy Ibeh, was compelled by the powers-that- be to announce that he resigned. While there are insinuations in some quarters that he was impeached, his Chief press secretary Ifeanyi Onyekachi said he resigned.
Remember, Chiji Collins as Speaker was impeached by the house , followed by Paul Emeziem.
Information also stated that Ibeh did not carry his members along in the scheme of things. One of the members disclosed “we are happy that he is out”.
Now, they have chosen Nduka Emeka from Ehime Mbano as Speaker.
