ADIEU BIG BROTHER WASCO
BY: CHIEF UBA JAMES ESILE
The news of the sudden death of Hon Christopher Eleghu ( Wasco) came to me with great shock and subsequently threw me off balance, till now. I found it very difficult to believe that Wasco is no more. It was true that William Shakespeare once pointed it out that death is an inevitable end. But for sure, we never in any way dreamt that yours could occur so sudden and the brutal way it did. No one has the right to take the life of another. It is a bad omen.
Good name according to the book of Ecclesiastes is better than precious ointment. Evidences on ground are clearly indicating that you were a good man and equally lived a good life.Since the day l got the news of your sudden demise and that of Mazi Theophilus Unegbu, both of our Umucheke community, I hardly control myself as tears are freely rolling down my cheeks on daily basis.Because of this, I had quickly put on hold all my campaign activities both online and offline, from the date of the unfortunate incident till date.
The death of Hon Christopher Eleghu is totally too hard for me to believe. He was a lively, jovial, resourceful and indeed a community builder. We shall really miss him and his immense contributions towards the progress of our Umucheke Okwe community and Onuimo in general.
Again, late Hon Christopher Eleghu was aside being an elder brother to me, was a friend to all and sundry. The painful aspect of his demise right now was that it occurred at a time we needed him most to join hands in making our Onuimo LGA better.
Honestly, if lamentations and tears are capable of bringing this our brother back to life, mine would have done the magic.Frankly speaking, my heart is bleeding and l am feeling too sad.
My heartfelt condolences are for the immediate family members of late Wasco, our Umucheke community, Okwe clan, Onuimolites, his party men and women respectively. It is obvious that, vacuum has been created. However, it is my sincere prayers for our good Lord to console, comfort and graciously grant us the fortitude to bear the loss.
As christians, we have no other option left than to take solace in the word of God, because our brother and friend late Wasco will be with us again during resurrection morning. But the law of retribution will surely find the perpetrators, who desecrated our ever peaceful Onuimo.
Please take heart, Mrs Christopher Eleghu.
Adieu, big brother Wasco. We truly love you but God Almighty loves you more.
Rest in peace and in the bossom of the Lord.
